Modi corruption fight

PM Narendra Modi hints at crackdown on benami properties

Mocking at the Congress' campaign against demonetisation, Modi said that God gives at times the opposition party "wisdom" which comes to his use.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hinted at a crackdown on 'benami' properties, and said the Congress is worried as such assets of its leaders will not be spared in his government's action.

Launching a stinging attack on the opposition party over corruption at an election rally in Sundernagar, Modi said the Congress' campaign againstdemonetisation was driven by its attempts to mislead the people and create an atmosphere against him before he can raise a "storm" over benami assets.

"The time has come to return to the poor what had been robbed of them.... I am going to create a situation that they (Congress leaders) would not be able to reclaim their benami assets," he said.

Heaping scorn on the Congress over its decision to observe the first anniversary of demonetisation on November 8 as black day, he said it was actually "blackmoney day" for the opposition party.

While addressing rallies in the poll-bound state, Modi said the Congress would burn his effigies on November 8 because his sin was that he was fighting corruption.

The biggest deal in health care industry

What the CVS-Aetna deal means for the future of health care When drug company chief executive Heather Bresch was hauled in front of Congress last year to defend the high price of lifesaving EpiPens, she drew skeptical lawmakers' attention to a large poster board that blamed the skyrocketing price tag on a coterie of drug supply chain middlemen. Of EpiPen's $608 list price, her company, Mylan, received only $274, Bresch said. "What the patient is paying is not . . . coming back to Mylan," Bresch said. "And when we were speaking earlier of the people, the middlemen in the system, that's either the pharmacy benefit managers, retailers, wholesalers, insurers." That supply chain — rarely seen by most consumers — is the center of attention in the corporate world after CVS Health announced a $69 billion deal to buy Aetna, the nation's third-largest insurer. Familiar as a corner drugstore, CVS Health actually makes most of its money from one of t...

HTC want to give one more try with enhanced version

Ice blue HTC U11 Plus looks cool in 3D render video The  HTC U11  has been one of the best received  HTC  phones in recent years, and a more powerful successor is expected to be launched soon. We learned earlier this week that the device, what is expected to be called the HTC U11 Plus, may be unveiled  on November 2 , and now, we might have a better idea of what it’s going to look like. A 3D render of the handset has appeared in a CAD video from leaker @OnLeaks, this time in partnership with Indian website  couponraja.in . The video depicts a metallic, ice blue device that shares much in common with the U11, as you might expect, but with a couple of key changes. The HTC U11 Plus looks like it will switch the fingerprint scanner from the front to the rear of the device, a move we’ve seen  other handsets  make this year in order to achieve a “full screen” display. This is another firm indication that the...
