The extended warranty can be availed before the standard warranty lapses

Highlights

  • The Gold plan includes an extended warranty for 3 years/60,000 km
  • Regular wear and tear parts like tyres, bulbs, battery are not covered
  • The Nexa cars do not get the Gold extended warranty plan on offer
Improving the after sales and service experience, Indian auto major Maruti Suzuki has launched the 'Forever Yours' extended warranty programme for its complete range of cars across the standard and Nexa models. At present, all Maruti Suzuki cars are offered with a standard 2 year/40,000 km warranty, which can be now extended for a longer period, depending on the package you choose. The extended warranty programme is intended to not only improve the service experience but also reduce the cost of ownership on its vehicles.
There are three Maruti Suzuki's 'Forever Yours' extended warranty plans on offer:
Gold: 3rd year/60,000 km Platinum: 3rd and 4rd year/80,000 km Royal Platinum: 3rd, 4th and 5th year/1,00,000 km

In either package, the company will consider either the year or kilometres, whichever is earlier. The packages cover a host of parts and its replacements including the high-pressure pump, compressor, Electronic Control Module (ECM), turbocharger assembly, certain engine parts and more. The steering assembly and suspension struts are also covered as part of the warranty plan.
However, there are a number of components that aren't covered under the warranty plan and mostly include regular wear and tear spares like bulbs, battery, tyres, spark plugs, brake linings, belts, hoses, filters, and much more. A complete list of the components not covered under the programme can be found on the company's website.

Buyers though can also opt for multiple warranty periods of two months, one year or two years on Nexa cars as per the website. Vehicles sold under the Nexa initiative include the S-CrossIgnis, Baleno and Ciaz sedan

The biggest deal in health care industry

What the CVS-Aetna deal means for the future of health care When drug company chief executive Heather Bresch was hauled in front of Congress last year to defend the high price of lifesaving EpiPens, she drew skeptical lawmakers' attention to a large poster board that blamed the skyrocketing price tag on a coterie of drug supply chain middlemen. Of EpiPen's $608 list price, her company, Mylan, received only $274, Bresch said. "What the patient is paying is not . . . coming back to Mylan," Bresch said. "And when we were speaking earlier of the people, the middlemen in the system, that's either the pharmacy benefit managers, retailers, wholesalers, insurers." That supply chain — rarely seen by most consumers — is the center of attention in the corporate world after CVS Health announced a $69 billion deal to buy Aetna, the nation's third-largest insurer. Familiar as a corner drugstore, CVS Health actually makes most of its money from one of t

H-1B extension is now more difficult trump tightened walls again

Trump admin makes it more difficult for H-1B visa extension USCIS said the previous memorandum of April 23, 2004 appeared to place this burden on this federal agency. In a new directive, the Trump administration has made it more difficult for the renewal of non-immigrant visas such as H-1B and L1, popular among Indian IT professionals, saying that the burden of proof lies on the applicant even when an extension is sought.  Rescinding its more than 13-year-old policy, the  US Citizenship and Immigration Services  (  USCIS ) said that the burden of proof in establishing eligibility is, at all times, on the petitioner.  USCIS said the previous memorandum of April 23, 2004 appeared to place this burden on this federal agency.  "This memorandum makes it clear that the burden of proof remains on the petitioner, even where an extension of non- immigrant status is sought," USCIS said in its latest memorandum issued on October 23.   Under the previous policy, i
