Improving the after sales and service experience, Indian auto major
Maruti Suzuki has launched the 'Forever Yours' extended warranty programme for its complete range of cars across the standard and Nexa models. At present, all Maruti Suzuki cars are offered with a standard 2 year/40,000 km warranty, which can be now extended for a longer period, depending on the package you choose. The extended warranty programme is intended to not only improve the service experience but also reduce the cost of ownership on its vehicles.
There are three Maruti Suzuki's 'Forever Yours' extended warranty plans on offer:
Gold: 3rd year/60,000 km Platinum: 3rd and 4rd year/80,000 km Royal Platinum: 3rd, 4th and 5th year/1,00,000 km
(Maruti Suzuki's extended warranty programme is available in three options)
In either package, the company will consider either the year or kilometres, whichever is earlier. The packages cover a host of parts and its replacements including the high-pressure pump, compressor, Electronic Control Module (ECM), turbocharger assembly, certain engine parts and more. The steering assembly and suspension struts are also covered as part of the warranty plan.
However, there are a number of components that aren't covered under the warranty plan and mostly include regular wear and tear spares like bulbs, battery, tyres, spark plugs, brake linings, belts, hoses, filters, and much more. A complete list of the components not covered under the programme can be found on the company's website.
(Cars sold via Nexa outlets will be available with only the Platinum & Royal Platinum plans)
Interestingly, the three extended warranty plans will be available for the models sold through Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships, while cars sold under the Nexa outlets will be offered with only the Royal Platinum and Platinum schemes, that too for only a period of two years. Buyers though can also opt for multiple warranty periods of two months, one year or two years on Nexa cars as per the website. Vehicles sold under the Nexa initiative include the
S-Cross,
Ignis, Baleno and
Ciaz sedan
